Boxtruck crash sprays debris at the 11foot8 bridge
Jul 15, 2023Only the second crash this year at the 11foot8 bridge, but on July 6 a box truck driver ignored the warning signals and hit the crash beam of the canopener bridge. Pieces of the roof were scattered all over the road! This was crash # 178 since 2008.

A local canopener fan recently pointed me to this crash, which happened a month ago. A reefer truck ended up with an expensive-looking roof modification after ignoring the red traffic light AND the warning sign at the canopener bridge. The truck was stuck under the bridge for almost an hour. This was crash # 185 (note that 185 and 184 are now out of chronological order).

This video goes long beyond the crash into the aftermath, which is just as interesting as vehicles drive over the debris left by the impact. I sense a few flat tires here.
