VRE Train Talk Alert 6/19/24

 

New Train Talk Alert System

With the launch of the latest version of VRE Mobile, and the upcoming launch of the new vre.org website, we will be able to communicate with our passengers more efficiently. The current Train Talk system will be discontinued effective July 1, 2024.

Everyone will need to register for the new Train Talk alert system as described below. You will still be able to receive Train Talk in your email or as a text message.

Here’s how to sign-up:

Step 1 – Sign in or create a VRE Mobile account through our online portal at tickets.vre.org.

Step 2 – From the “Account Home” tab, under “Account Info” select “Edit” and choose your Notification Delivery Method. You may choose email, text, or both. Then click “Update Account Info.”

Step 3 – From the list on the left, select “Notification Topics.” You may choose “General VRE Information” to receive basic news items and information on holidays and special events. You may also select “Fredericksburg Line” or “Manassas Line” or both to receive service information related to your commute. Then click “Submit”.

You are now properly registered to receive Train Talk alerts.

The online portal can also be utilized to purchase VRE fares which may only be used through the VRE Mobile App. VRE Mobile is available for both Android and iOS through the Google Play store and the Apple Store.
