Well, the Kenosha-Racine-Milwaukee rail line, also known as KRM, was left for dead in 2011, but now the idea may be awakening again. We have news of a potential station along the KRM line, which would be useless if trains never run along said line.

Milwaukee plans to buy land for possible passenger station on rail line
The city of Milwaukee has plans to buy land near where the new Komatsu Mining Corp. headquarters will be for a possible passenger station for the Kenosha-Racine-Milwaukee commuter rail line.
