• On May 1, 2008 (Amtrak's Birthday), Friends of Amtrak member Bruce Jones traveled from Alexandra to Richmond VA via Amtrak Train 98. His report can be read here.

• In late March and early April 2008 OTOL member Richard McCauley and his Grandfather traveled roundtrip from his home in New Jersey to Fort Lauderdale FL for a cruise. Read all about it here.

The family of the late Danny Boehr dedicated a bench to him at Horseshoe Curve in August, 2003. Danny was a dear friend and a significant influence in railfanning using the internet. The Danny Boehr/Al Tuner Dedication Page includes the text of speeches and photos of the ceremony.
